The willingness to take care of nature, to clean up after yourself, to get carried away with ecology appears even stronger when an enormous statue of Christ, with a height of a thirteen-story building, hangs over you. This 38-meter giant is the architectural landmark of the Bucaramanga area. Christ is situated in the Cerro del Santisimo Ecopark in the municipality of Floridablanca.

The beautiful park exists in order to preserve the ecological variety of the region, to protect Colombian nature from harmful effects, and, of course, to show the whole world the diversity of the country's flora and fauna.

Numerous stone paths lie between the trees, in the lush crown of which hides the real birds' orchestra. Throughout the park, you will enjoy the magnificent scent of beautiful Colombian plants. It is very fresh and calm in the Cerro del Santisimo Park, even if you have the constant feeling that someone is continuously watching you. After all, this «someone» is Jesus Christ himself as big as a multi-story building.

The sculpture is situated on an artificial hill which can be reached by several stairs. This white figure in a robe with long hair and a raised hand is hard to miss even from afar. Take a walk at the base of the sculpture and try to look up into the eyes of the statue from below. At this moment, you may feel very small both physically and mentally. Then take the panoramic elevator to the top.

From a height of almost forty meters, you can literally see the world as Jesus Christ sees it in the Cerro del Santisimo Park. This landscape is amazing! The whole city at a glance! From this point, you can see the entire Floridablanca area and a part of the city of Bucaramanga. It`s very beautiful and inspiring!

If you want to enjoy this beauty alone or in a small group of people you should come here any day except Easter and Good Friday. The entire park is full of pilgrims, especially at the foot of the sculpture and at the top of the observation deck.
