Fair Park is not even a park, but a huge complex that includes amusement parks, fairs, museums, as well as a huge number of green spaces and lakes. By the way, Fair Park is recognized as a National Historic Site and is considered one of the most beautiful places in the country.

The park was opened in the early 40s of the last century. It contains a large amount of Art Deco architecture. All these buildings were built for the 1936 World's Fair, which lasted for six months. During this time, the appearance of the park has improved significantly. Now it looks like a huge Art Deco quarter.

Today, Fair Park is home to 9 museums, a concert hall, and the largest Ferris wheel in North America. There are also chic gardens and unusual fountains on an area of more than one square kilometer. Various fairs and festivals are held almost constantly in the park. They attract not only residents of neighboring states but from all over America.

One of the most striking representatives of the Art Deco style in the entire park is the State Hall. It is the largest in all of America. It was built on over a half-million dollars. It was a huge amount for the 40s. So the State Hall has become the most expensive building in Texas.

In addition to the high cost, the State Hall is very beautiful. Its facade is decorated with metal figures and structures that were specially ordered and made in the Potter Art Metal workshop. The columns of the hall are made of limestone and reach a height of 23 meters. Directly above the entrance to the State Hall is a huge statue of a Texas warrior archer covered with gold leaf. It is designed to remind residents of the state of history.
