It is not surprising that a theme park dedicated to alternative energy is located in the capital of the sunniest and friendly Mexican state of Mexicali. So much sun, heat, and energy can hardly be found elsewhere.

Alternative Energy Theme Park, abbreviated as PTEA, was made to develop the economy of the country. It aimed to replace oil-based energy sources with environmentally friendly and renewable ones.

In the mid-80s, engineer Mario Pavon was developing and installing solar panels in Mexicali and its environs. Soon, not only individuals and companies but also the state government were interested in his work with the use of safe sources. Renewable energy equipment was presented at the annual regional agricultural exhibition in 2001. It had a huge success. As a result, the idea of establishing a theme park was created. Designers wanted to show how to use alternative energy sources, such as the sun and wind.

Working as Director of Energías Alternas S.A., Mario Pavon easily got adherents. All of them were developing the project in 2005. But only two years later, they got permission to build the park.

This is not just an ordinary amusement park. It is a modern educational center. People can learn how to warm and cool the house, use solar water heaters and lighting products, as well as many other solar-powered household tools.

On the one hand, studying bio-climate and heat loads is not the most interesting activity. But if you live in a city with an average temperature of more than 30 degrees, you need to know how to use the most powerful natural resource - the sun. And this place suits the most. One hour of playing, and you find out something people study in educational institutions for years.
