Warwick Academy

Students at Warwick Academy can be proud. The Academy building in Warwick Parish was built in the 17th century. For several centuries, the school was the best in Bermuda. And now, four centuries later, it is one of the oldest.

Its facade is a rather interesting building. You will pay attention to it, walking along Warwick. Built in the 17th century, the academy is painted in two shades. The basement of the school is gray, made of stone. The first floor is painted blue. You may think that the school is so secret that it is merging with the local landscape - blue sky and gray ground.

Until the end of the 20th century, there was an ordinary public secondary school. When the Academy had problems, students were going to the neighboring Southland’s Manor. They were studying there for some time. Since 1992, the status of the institution has changed. Students needed to correspond to several requirements. Warwick Academy has become a private school. However, there was no gender separation. Both girls and boys were allowed to study. Now, 750 people from five to nineteen years old are studying in this beautiful historic building.

Education follows the British program because Bermuda is the territory of the British Kingdom.

One of the positive features of the academy is that all students from 7 to 9 years need to attend at least two additional courses. They can choose any sport and activity developing their creative abilities. By the way, sports sections have appeared recently. The management built a gym.

Between lessons, during breaks, students can walk around an equipped area or go to the small beach of the Southland’s Manor and eat their lunch on the board of the ocean.
