Stiegl Brewery Museum

The Stiegl brewery, the oldest private brewery in Austria, is located in Salzburg. Beer has been brewed there according to original recipes for 500 years. So the taste of this drink can tell a very interesting story. In one hour, the brewery fills 90,000 bottles. You can see this fascinating process with your own eyes.

The guide will take you through the cooking departments of the brewery. The total area of the current exhibition is 5000 square meters. So it is better to come there in comfortable shoes.

The coolest in the whole exhibition, except for the tasting, is the beer cinema. There you can see the history of the creation of a foam drink, listen to a story about all stages of its production. Very exciting!

Curious tourists are even offered to participate in the production of a foam drink. So you can learn more about brewing and the recipes of this drink. You can also stir the drink in the tank.

After the excursion, you will have an opportunity to relax with a glass of beer. There is an excellent restaurant consisting of four halls. It is at the same time an original room in the techno style, which is decorated with vats and pipes, and a classic beer bar, and a hunting-style hall with low chandeliers, decorated with dark wood, and a beer garden on the street. You can go there at lunchtime and taste a great drink, spilled three steps from this place. They cook as well as they brew beer!
