There is a truly unique museum in one of the small Austrian towns. It attracts motorists from all over the world. They rush to this museum forgetting about the ski slopes and thermal springs. Instead of paintings or sculptures, they will be greeted by the smell of engine oil and tires in the air. This is the Rolls-Royce Museum!

It is a private Museum owned by real fans of the British lifestyle Hilda and Franz Vonier. Can you imagine anything more British than this magnificent example of the automobile industry? Even the Queen of Great Britain herself prefers Rolls-Royce of all cars.

The history of Rolls-Royce is interesting in itself. Once the son of a bankrupt Miller, Frederick Henry Royce, decided to open his workshop to assemble his first cars there. Then he met a London dandy, a graduate from the Eton College, racing driver, aristocrat Charles Royce.

The fateful meeting took place on May 1, 1904. When Rolls demonstrated Royce has a car of his own production, he immediately received an offer to become partners. Six months later, two new cars were shown at the Paris motor show, and in the winter of the same year, Rolls Royce Ltd appeared. An interesting fact is that one of the first models, the Silver Ghost, was considered the safest and most comfortable car for almost 20 years.

It was an unmistakable success. Since the 20s of the last century, the Rolls-Royce has become the favorite car of the British Royal family, movie stars and business leaders. A winged figure on the hood, the emblem of Rolls-Royce, became a pass to the world of the rich and famous.

The carmaker has produced only about 30 models in the entire history of its existence. Style, quality and design made the brand luxury.

The brand is no longer in Britain. It has been part of the German BMW group for 10 years. Before that, it belonged to the Volkswagen group. Despite this fact, the Rolls-Royce remains a truly British car.

Let's go back to the Museum. In 1999 in the suburbs Dornbirn, in the building of a former spinning factory, a couple of fans of Britain opened the Rolls-Royce Museum. There you can see the world's largest collection of vintage cars, as well as touch and sit in the car that was driven by Queen Elizabeth, Rita Hayworth or dictator Franco. So cool, right?
