But what if you are not interested in this? Then go to the fascinating Municipal Museum, which is dedicated to the history of the city, its inhabitants, their traditions, and everyday life.

The museum building was built in 1857. Then it was the city hall, which was considered the center of the city. Noble people gathered there to solve important problems, held feasts and meetings with representatives of other cities.

The city hall became a museum not so long ago, in the middle of the last century. There was a need for a place to collect and preserve antiques. Since the 1930s, the premises of the town hall were empty. Besides, its maintenance required many funds. Otherwise, the architectural monument was threatened with demolition due to its dilapidated condition. Then it was decided to make this ancient building a museum: so it was possible to preserve the town hall and create an interesting cultural place in the city.

Specialists had been restoring the once luxurious mansion for more than a year. The work was complicated: it was necessary to preserve both the appearance and the layout of the premises to retain the spirit of that time. At the same time, there was a need to modernize the building to meet museum requirements. However, despite all the difficulties, the work was successful. So a large, modern museum dedicated to the history of the region appeared in the city.

You can see ritual accessories, household items, first telephones, old typewriters, costumes of noble people, and clothes of ordinary citizens.
All this was collected and carefully systematized by the museum staff. They are trying to show the residents of Danli how their city looked before the Columbian era and how much it changed after it.
