Its actions would take place on the Boiling Lake in Dominica.

Its location high in the mountains of Dominica and a fog make this place more mysterious. To be precise, not the real fog, but the steam of the lake.

Unusual activity was firstly noticed in 1870. That time, there was little water in the lake. Its temperature reached 80-90 degrees Celsius. The water was boiled! This temperature was measured on the edges of the lake. It was impossible to find anything out about the center, except the depth - 60 meters.

Coming to the lake, you can see a geyser in the center. It ejects water and dirt 18 meters higher and gradually fills the lake with water. When the lake stops boiling, the water level decreases.

You cannot get there by a comfortable jeep or even on an asphalt road. You have to climb the muddy mountain trails to the beautiful but lurid Boiling Lake. Though the mysterious nature of Dominica can impress you even on the way to the lake.

In fact, it is just a crack in the crust. Through it, underground gas and water come to the surface. And such a high temperature is caused by lava. This miracle of nature is impressive and fascinating.

After a three-hour trip, in the mud and sweat from head to toe, you want to relax and swim in warm water. But it is not about Boiling Lake. Warm steam attracts, but it is strictly prohibited to swim there. 

The thing is not about the boiling water in the crack. The water level is changing. It can rise and fall sharply. The last time it happened in 2016. Yes, nobody swims there. But when there is little water, the lake produces life-threatening gases. Small, but dangerous explosions can also take place.
