Imagine that the plane is about to land. You dream of taking your swimsuit and rushing to the beach, making a quick visit to a restaurant for the traditional Turkish «All inclusive», and then maybe going to other attractions of Anatolia. The vacation and adventures may start right on the plane...
Look down. Carefully. You can see the place where one of the biggest waterfalls which flows into the sea takes its origin. Remember that place and when the plane lands, you arrive to your hotel and get ready for an active vacation – go to the Düden Waterfalls.
You can visit both of the waterfalls in a day: the upper and the lower. It is better to see the upper waterfall in the first part of the day. Rainbow is in the skies almost all the time there, so the pictures will be amazing. Moreover, in a small but very old (around 600 years old) lake, you may get refreshed on a hot day. Near the waterfall, there is no less interesting park with a sycamore of the same age as the waterfall. Put on some comfortable clothes and get ready for the remarkable experience. In a minute you will get into a cave which appeared there in the 2-3rd centuries AD. From this point, you will see the magnificent view of the waterfall.
When the sun goes down, you may go to the lower Düden waterfall which is located closer to the airport, 15 km from the upper one. This exact waterfall is very well seen from the plane. There you will see the cliff from which tons of water fall with a noise. Its height is 45 meters. So, this is the lower Düden. It is also located on the territory of the former park where lovers like to spend their time together. Because of the lightning in the lower Düden which creates a romantic atmosphere, it is considered to be the place of lovers’ dates.
Which waterfall is more picturesque is up to you, but it is definitely worth visiting both of them.
