Although only genies can make these desires come true, it is also possible in real life, and you don’t even have to go to a far-away place. Just book a flight ticket or a cozy compartment in a train and go towards good health and eternal youth, to the amazing ancient state of Tajikistan, which is so different from other Asian countries.

Just a few kilometers from the town of Khorugh, on a slope of the majestic Pamirs, there are Garmchashma mineral hot springs opened in 1928 and considered one of the main landmarks in Tajikistan. Hot mineral waters erupt from the very depths of the ancient rocks and form several tiers of travertine hills with a total height of up to 8 meters and more than 1,5 kilometers long. Time and calcium-rich springs created fantastic stalactites and natural aquamarine lagoons. These thermal reservoirs keep the secret of eternal youth and longevity. Local waters like a magic elixir of immortality cure any diseases and fill with life energy. Locals even compose legends in their honor and endow them with magical properties.

Nearby the springs, there is a famous health resort that looks more like a luxurious fashionable resort. It combines healing waters of thermal springs with the popular heliotherapy, the freshest mountain air, amazing landscapes and traditional dishes of one of the oldest cuisines in the world.

The healing waters look like small glacial lakes located in the mountains. In fact, the water temperature reaches only 65 degrees, so these baths are available all year round.

In the 19th century, locals built sacred altars inside the rocks. They burned oil lamps and paid tributes to gods for the holy spring.

Besides hot mineral geysers, Garmchashma has several cold springs and the famous Narzan spring known far beyond Tajikistan.
