The world-famous Israeli city of Nazareth is the Holy place of Christians where Jesus Christ spent his first years. The city is mentioned only in some Bible stories and on one of the marble fragments of an ancient synagogue discovered in Caesarea and dating back to the 3rd century AD.

The lack of other written sources confirming the existence of Nazareth in an earlier period became a reason for a heated debate among historians and researchers. Some claim that this city was here much earlier, while others even question its existence. To solve this long-standing problem, you have to create a real-time machine, go to the distant past, and see everything with your own eyes. Or you can just only visit the Nazareth Village – an authentic open-air museum that can transfer everyone to ancient times, or rather to the 1st century AD, like a time machine.

The grandiose historical museum project is located on the very spot where biblical events once took place, a couple of kilometers from the modern city of Nazareth. This is evidenced by the foundations of buildings of the 1st century. Besides, the modern museum displays with incredible accuracy reproduce the atmosphere of those years. Terraced fields, centuries-old olive and fruit trees, stone dwellings, and wineries – all this is an accurate reproduction of the village life in the Holy Land during the New Testament.

Here you can see farmers and shepherds grazing goats, weavers making and dyeing wool, potters, and stonemasons, as well as Joseph the Carpenter and Mary the Mother of God. All of them wear historical costumes, show visitors the life and culture of the ancient inhabitants, and tell about the teachings of Jesus Christ and his followers.

Besides, you can try traditional dishes of national cuisine served in identical ceramic dishes, as well as taste real Nazareth bread prepared according to an old recipe.
