What animal is China associated with? A panda, isn't it? This cute, fluffy creature, which eats bamboo, has become a real symbol of the Land of the Rising Sun. China has one of the largest observation centers for giant pandas and it is only two hours away from Chengdu city.
Chengdu is a pleasant city with lovely and tidy parks, clean air, and beautiful temples. But what's the use of the city sights, when you can not only see but also pet one of the sweetest creatures on earth.
The center «Bifengxia» is only a few hours away by bus or train. It is on a mountain surrounded by the mesmerizing nature of China: the dense forests, rough mountain rivers, waterfalls, rocks, and valleys. By the way, the landscape is as attractive as the giant pandas themselves.
And so, you get to the center. There are information stands about pandas everywhere: what they eat, how they live, what their daily routine is. After a few meters – here they are, the giant black and white bears. And what do they do? Of course, they are chewing bamboo stalks or enjoying sweet dreams.
The flow of tourists to the center has increased dramatically after the «Kung Fu Panda» cartoon. The staff supports this tendency. Helpers are needed here more than anywhere else. After all, people go to «Bifengxia» not only to look at bears. Here you can stay and work, voluntarily. It's true! So you can get a unique opportunity to hug pandas every day.
The «Bifengxia» center does not work as a zoo. Panda is a rare animal; here they are protected, studied, and helped to breed. Some bears were literally saved here.
A visit to the center of giant pandas «Bifengxia» will be one of the brightest journeys in China. Emotions will be overflowing, and a smile will not leave your face for a long time.
