Bright, noisy, friendly China is ideal for family holidays. While adults explore the colorful Buddha temples and majestic palaces of emperors, stroll through fabulous gardens, and visit amazing museums, children are fascinated by the numerous oceanariums and aquariums, exotic zoos, and, of course, giant amusement parks.

The Happy Valley amusement park, located on the outskirts of Beijing, was opened in 2006. It is considered to be one of the largest amusement parks in the world and the most adventurous one in the country. The grandiose project looks like the famous Disney parks: the same division of attractions into thematic zones, the same theater and shopping complex. However, the Happy Valley amusement park is larger and more colorful. It has around 100 exciting attractions and the IMAX cinema which consists of seven huge screens. Some of the attractions are so extreme that not every adult will dare to conquer them, although children sometimes appear to be far more fearless and go on to «dangerous» adventures with rapturous screams.

Each of the seven thematic areas has its own landscapes and attractions. The first one, where visitors find themselves, is called «Wild Fjords». It hosts a theater, where the world-famous show «The Golden Mask Dynasty» has been held since 2007. The incredibly large-scale equipment and 360-degree water stage were the first technologies of this level to be used in China. From here, all guests embark on an unforgettable journey in a 19th-century mini train.

In the center of the park, there is an entertainment area called «Atlantis». You can get acquainted with the culture of ancient mysterious civilization from a fifteen-story house in the rotating chairs of extreme roller coasters. You can learn about the history and culture of other ancient tribes in «Lost Maya». You can take a breath and drink a cup of flavored herbal tea in the Tibetan village of «Shangri-La», while those who crave new adventures can find a real haunted house in this area. You can go on a round-the-world sea voyage and see the most important sights of all continents in «Aegean Port».
