Famous picturesque Victoria Harbor is a place of annual fireworks displays, romantic dates and promenades, business and friendly meetings. It has long been considered the specific feature of Hong Kong and one of the most popular tourist attractions. No traveler in this city hasn’t visited this fabulous place and seen its fantastic views. But even such a popularity of the old harbor was not enough for the locals, so they created a unique laser light show. This show has no analogs in the world – it is visited by millions of tourists and is included in the Guinness World Records book.
The largest laser light and music show in the world called «A Symphony of Lights» was created in 2004. Since then it has outshone even such world-famous laser light performances as the Singing Fountain in Barcelona or the amazing flickering illumination of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Every evening, more than 40 skyscrapers of famous Victoria Harbor flash with millions of colored lights, and their roofs are illuminated by thousands of fireworks set off to the sound of enchanting music. The mission of the amazing performance is to show the guests all the rich history of Hong Kong, since its birth, growth and prosperity, close connection with the Greatest Chinese Empire, and, finally, the bright future that awaits its residents ahead.
The best place to watch the spectacular performance is the Avenue of Stars, which offers stunning views of the entire Gulf Coast. Besides, there are the main speakers of the show, which broadcast traditional Chinese music and the fascinating history of Hong Kong. The world-famous «Symphony of Lights» lasts about 15 minutes. Although you can watch it on all local TV channels, it is better to watch it live – the memories will remain for the whole life and the desire to return and watch the spectacular performance again will never leave you.
Originally, the fantastic show occupied only 17 skyscrapers on Hong Kong Island. Later skyscrapers on the other side of the bay were also included in the show. So today there are more than forty of them.
Every year, the program of the laser light show «Symphony of Lights» changes a little bit – it gets new musical accompaniment or new skyscrapers. This is a great reason to visit this fabulous place again and experience completely different emotions.
